Ok, for this week we had to polish the lip-sync. I’m
still not happy with it and will tweak it some more
this week. I think the expression change on the “...
look at me!” is a bit slow and late. Need to fix
that.
And we also had to take two photographs and recreate the facial expressions

Class 5, Week 1 Assignment

Alright. So we started doing lip-syncing now. And I
got to say, initially it can be quite scary, but you
learn to get the hang of it. This is my blocking pass
at lip-sync for my assignment I finished in Class 4
with.
Here’s some video reference of me acting and saying the shot. Helps to determine the amount of jaw movement, and some blinks, brow shapes and eye darts.

So this is it. I cannot believe it’s been a year
since I started AnimationMentor. It’s the
Advanced Acting class and my mentor is Dana Boadway. Looking forward
to what I can learn from her.
